Wiesbaden Elementary Drama Club presents musical “Pirates from Grammar Island”
WIESBADEN, Germany – Wiesbaden Elementary School Drama Club production, “Pirates from Grammar Island” by Bad Wolfe Productions, was a tremendous success academically, socially, and emotionally.
One of the most meaningful outcomes was watching students grow in confidence and self-belief throughout the rehearsal and performance process. Many students who are typically very shy in the classroom, including those with disabilities, bravely stepped outside of their comfort zones and found their voices on stage.
Through consistent practice, encouragement, and a supportive ensemble environment, students who once hesitated to speak in front of peers proudly delivered lines, projected their voices, and fully embodied their characters. It was incredibly powerful to see these students overcome fear and anxiety, realizing that they were capable of much more than they initially believed.
The production also fostered teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. Students supported one another, celebrated small victories, and took pride in the collective success of the group. The inclusive nature of the production allowed every child to shine in their own way, reinforcing that all students regardless of ability belong, contribute, and matter.
We are beyond proud of our Drama Club students. Their courage, growth, and determination made Pirates from Grammar Island far more than just a performance it was a confidence-building experience that will stay with them long after the curtain closed.
Every student met the success criteria for our drama club which was using voice and imagination (projection), outstanding performance (gestures), and increased self-confidence (perseverance).
