Principal’s September Newsletter Message
Dear Wiesbaden Elementary Families,
We are so excited to step into our first full month of the school year! After a strong start in August, our students are already off and rolling with their learning. Teachers are conducting beginning-of-the-year assessments to better understand each child’s foundational skills, ensuring we can tailor instruction to meet their needs and help them grow.
Important Dates & Events:
- September 3rd – Family Sessions: We will hold three 20-minute sessions with 5-minute transitions in between:
- 4:00–4:15 p.m. – Meet with Administration in the MPR
- 4:20–4:40 p.m. – Session One
- 4:45–5:05 p.m. – Session Two
- 5:10–5:30 p.m. – Session Three
- No School – September 8th: Teacher training day.
- School Advisory Council (SAC) Meeting – September 15th at 3:30 p.m.: This is our complex-wide SAC, and we welcome family participation.
- School Picture Days – September 16th–18th
- WES Anniversary Celebration – September 16th: Wiesbaden Elementary proudly celebrates its fourth year as a 21st Century School!
- Parent University Math Night – Coming Soon: We are in the planning stages of our first session. More information will be shared soon!
Meals Information:
To stay informed about the breakfast and lunch menu, please log into your LINQ Connect account at https://linqconnect.com/. When possible, we will also post the menus on our School Meals Program page.
Our school-wide focus this year is on high-quality instructional practices with an emphasis on clear success criteria. Teachers are helping students understand what success looks like and how to measure their own growth. We encourage you to ask your child each evening about the success criteria they worked with during the day’s lesson. If your child is unsure, please connect with their teacher so we can strengthen the bridge between classroom and home learning.
We are proud of the strong connections we are building together and excited about the growth ahead. Thank you for your continued partnership in making this year a success for every student.

Hello September, we have officially entered the "Ber" months!
Here are some reminders of what we have going on.
- SAC - 9/15 will be the first SAC meeting complex wide
- Picture day is happening, make sure to touch base with your child's teacher for dates. Packets will go home for ordering instructions.
- Linq connect is your resource for all things "School Lunch" related. WES does not always get updated on many changes so please use the app.
- Pre- Arranged absences can be found in resources and only need to be filled out for absences of 3+ days.
While our school number has changed the attendance and all staff emails are the same. Please do not hesitate to send us an email with any questions.

- Immunizations are due to the school nurse by 9/30/25. The current DODEA Immunization Requirements are attached.
- Walk-In Hours at Immunization Clinic on Clay (Bldg. 1040, Room 114): Tuesday and Thursday: 0800-1130 and 1300-1530.
- Please continue to check your children for lice at home; there have been a few cases that were reported last week.
- If your student does have lice, please email the nurse @ Amy.Zesiger@dodea.edu so cases can be tracked and hopefully minimized.

The daily schedule at Wiesbaden Elementary School is as follows:
Kindergarten through Grade 5:
- 0745 Students Line Up with Morning Bell
- 0810 Students are Tardy-arrivals after this time require check in at the front office
- 1430 Dismissal for K-5
Every Thursday is an early dismissal at 1330. No after school clubs/activities will occur on Thursday. Half Days have a dismissal time of 1055. No lunch is served on half days.
