Celebrating Strength: Wiesbaden Elementary’s Month of the Military Child Clap Out

Cheers, high-fives, and confetti filled the air on Thursday, April 17th, as Wiesbaden Elementary School celebrated its military-connected students with a community-wide Clap Out in honor of the Month of the Military Child.

The front entrance of the school transformed into a joyful celebration, where parents, teachers, soldiers, and community members lined the walkway to recognize the resilience, strength, and spirit of children from military families.

The school mascot, dressed in a superhero cape, joined staff and supporters to clap, cheer, and high-five hundreds of smiling students as they exited the building to thunderous applause and festive music.

"This is one of the most special days of the year for our school," said one staff member. "Our military kids face unique challenges with bravery and heart and today is about showing them just how proud we are."

The event highlighted the unity and pride felt across the community, with many military members in uniform participating to support the children whose lives are so closely tied to service. Everyone is welcome to continue celebrating throughout April and beyond.
